Also, never whisper a GM or send them a party invite if they don't ask you to, first.
Please give GMs time to do what they need to do when they log in, a GM will always announce when they are ready and able to assist players.
10. Do Not disturb any staff member while doing his/her job.
13. GM's have a right to game play time, while they are playing their Reg Characters, please do not approach them for game help, there is no such thing as a WOW Emergency!
If, and only if, it says there is no GM online when you use the ".gm online" command should you ask for a GM in world chat.
BE DIRECT WITH YOUR QUESTION OR IT WILL BE IGNORED.
Some examples are below. DO NOT spam requests, once is enough. Spam will be ignored.
Good Examples wrote:"Hi, could a GM help me with character migration."
"Is any GM available, my character fell through the map when I used charge"
"Something weird happened to my character. I died but then got immediately resurrected, but I can't move"
"Is a GM available to help me with a problem I have for a quest. I posted in the forums.

Most other questions or comments should be posted in the forums, like if a npc is missing.
And now for some interesting reading (Please read it all, it's all in context of what I'm saying, but the people in-game couldn't read what I said because the server was on countdown to restart):
[21:13] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] I'm not looking for help...I'm just trying to make sure that when it says "There are no GMs currently logged in..." that it's not broken.
[21:14] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] If they are in irc i dont think it shows up?
[21:14] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] Doesn't it usually say "irc" next to their name though?
[21:14] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] if they are in irc
[21:15] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] Oh, you mean if you type ".gm ingame"
[21:15] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] I think they get on irc and idle incase one of us needs them
[21:15] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] Then would the ".gm" command work in that case?
[21:15] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] i dont think so
[21:16] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] So then it isn't pointless to ask if there are GMs on? I'm confused
[21:16] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] No you an't see if they are in irc at all unless u see them join it
[21:17] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] as far as i know
[21:17] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] Correct...but if they're there to see if people need help, and ".gm ingame" doesn't reveal their presence, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the command and the request not to ask if GMs are online?
[21:17] [GM]JBlaze: it is pointless to ask if a gm is online... because the in-game command ".gm ingame" would give you that answer
[21:18] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] are you trying to ...like prove something to me or something?
[21:18] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] No, I'm just trying to figure things out...
[21:18] [GM]JBlaze: if you instead state the nature of the problem, u might get help when a GM is available
[21:18] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Highpriest(77)] ask a gm i guess
[21:19] [GM]JBlaze: when a GM is available, they will make an announce saying that they are ready to help people
[21:19] DeceivedChat: <WoW>[Cinza(24)] Well I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than I am might answer back. Apparently no one knows.
[21:20] [GM]JBlaze: if they don't make that announce, DO NOT pm them or you might get ignored, muted, or even banned if they're in a bad mood
All GMs are here to help, but they are only human, too.
